Do I need any experience to join Beginner Lessons?
No experience is necessary. Our Beginner Lessons are designed for players who are completely new to American Mahjong. We will guide you through everything you need to know, step by step.
Do I need to bring my own Mahjong set?
No. Mahjong sets, racks, and instructional materials are provided during lessons and events.
What version of Mahjong do you teach?
Calling Mahjong! teaches American Mahjong using the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) rules and card.
How do I register?

How many people are in a lesson?

How many lessons will I need before I can play?

What is Guided Play?
Guided Play is a supervised game where players receive coaching, strategy tips, and support while playing. It is the perfect transition from lessons to independent play.
What is Social Open Play?

Can I attend Open Play if I'm a beginner?
Players should have a basic understanding of the game before attending Social Open Play. If you're new to Mahjong, we recommend starting with Beginner Lessons or Guided Play.
Do you offer private lessons?
